Thanks for this article! I’m currently deciding between the Roland TD-17KVX and this set. I see from the paragraph above that the core has some clear advantages over the Roland. Any disadvantages? Would you suggest to go with one over the other? From my research, I know Roland is a super reliable brand, and leads the e-drums industry, but the Alesis core looks and sounds awesome, and seems to be a real competitor! Im between being a beginner and intermediate player, but looking to grow into my set! I’ve outgrown the one I currently have (Yamaha dtx452k). Thanks!! Thanks!! 🙂
