Review Submission Guidelines
To be featured on DrumSpy.com, your review should meet the following criteria:
- Detailed & Insightful Content: Provide an in-depth review covering build quality, sound, usability, pros, and cons. Aim for at least 1,000 words to give readers valuable insight.
- High-Quality Photos: Upload clear, high-resolution images of the gear. Close-up shots, different angles, and ideally, a picture of you using the equipment are highly encouraged.
- Rating & Summary: Include a 1 to 5-star rating and a brief summary of your overall experience.
- Pros & Cons: List at least three pros and three cons to give readers a balanced perspective.
Opportunities for Expert Contributors
Drummers who consistently share high-quality, in-depth reviews may be invited to become part of our editorial team. As a key contributor, you’ll have the opportunity to test and review new gear, gain exposure, and help shape the conversation in the drumming community.
Important Notes
- Authenticity Matters: Reviews must be original, unbiased, and written by you. AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.
- Exclusivity: Your review must not be published elsewhere and should not duplicate existing reviews on DrumSpy.com.
- Editorial Approval: We reserve the right to edit, feature, or decline reviews that do not meet our quality standards.

Tips for a Great Review
- Be Honest: Don’t just focus on what’s great—talk about the drawbacks too. Readers trust balanced reviews over overly positive or promotional ones.
- Be Specific: Instead of saying “The cymbals sound great,” describe how they sound—are they bright, dark, washy, dry? How do they compare to other models?
- Use Personal Experience: How did the gear perform in a gigging, recording, or practice setting? Share real-world insights.
- Show Yourself in Photos: If possible, include a photo of you playing the gear. This adds credibility and helps build trust with readers.
