Legendary STYX Drum Set Up for Sale: Todd Sucherman’s Pearl Masterworks Kit Hits the Market

Todd Sucherman, one of the most respected drummers in rock, is offering his complete Pearl Masterworks drum set used during STYX’s world tours from 2013 to 2019. This iconic kit is now available for purchase at Donn Bennett’s Drum Vault in Seattle, WA, for $75,000.

For over six years, this stunning drum set powered STYX’s high-energy performances across the globe. As the band’s driving force, Sucherman used this setup on hundreds of shows, recordings, and live DVDs, including STYX: Live at the Orleans Arena, Vegas (2014).

The Pearl Masterworks kit features heavy maple shells with a Bubinga Artisan veneer, finished in a Figured Bubinga Walnut Burst lacquer with custom Rose Gold hardware—the first Pearl drum set ever made with this finish. It includes:

  • Drums: Two 22”x18” bass drums, a 20”x14” gong drum, and a full range of toms (6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16”, 18”)
  • Snare: 14”x5” 20-ply snare drum
  • Cymbals: A complete selection of Sabian cymbals, including AA, AAX, and prototype models handpicked by Sucherman
  • Hardware & Rack: A full Pearl ICON rack system, Eliminator pedals, custom chimes, tambourines, and additional percussion accessories

This kit has been carefully maintained by Sucherman’s longtime drum techs, the late Paulie Carrizzo and Mark Petrocelli. While minor cosmetic blemishes from touring exist, the kit remains in exceptional condition, with additional replacement parts included.

Beyond the drums and hardware, this package includes:

  • STYX-branded rolling flight cases
  • Tour memorabilia, including setlists, laminates, and a drumhead signed by the band
  • A Certificate of Authenticity signed by Todd Sucherman

For a buyer willing to meet the full asking price, Sucherman and his team will personally deliver and set up the drum set anywhere in the continental U.S., complete with a private drum lesson and a one-of-a-kind drum hang experience.

This is more than just a drum set—it’s a piece of rock history. For drummers and collectors alike, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a kit that has been played on some of the world’s biggest stages.

The drum set is currently listed on Reverb.com via Donn Bennett’s Drum Vault. Serious offers are being considered, and local pickup in Seattle is available.
